Petitioner, a Medical Officer, was transferred on 05.01.2026 from CH Manali, District Kullu to PHC Amlehar , District Una, vice-versa to respondent No.2. Pursuant to the transfer order, petitioner joined at the transferred station on 06.01.2026. Her grievance is to notification issued on 06.01.2026 whereby transfer dated 05.01.2026 qua the petitioner and respondent No.2 was cancelled. 2. Respondent No. 1 in his reply has pleaded that notification/office order dated 05.01.2026 was canceled as per subsequent approval of the competent authority; that petitioner, being a Class-I officer, cannot claim to stay at a particular place for a specific period. 4. Considering that petitioner and respondent No.2 had been transferred vice-versa under notification/office order dated 05.01.2026 and they are now continuing at their respective transfer stations for last about 10 months, it will not even be otherwise appropriate to disturb them on the strength of cancellation order dated 06.01.2026. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed. Impugned cancelllation order dated 06.01.2026 (Annexure P-4) is quashed and set aside qua the petitioner and respondent no.2. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. Jyotsna Rewal Dua Judge 25th September, 2026. (jai)
