Pleader for R2 & R3 ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the first respondent to provide official written intimation of the rescheduled date of the auction to all eligible bidders, including the petitioner, and consequently to conduct the public auction-cum-tender process for the operation and maintenance of the newly constructed pay-and-use restrooms at the Thanjavur New Bus Stand (Serial No. 26 – Kudandhai–Pattukottai Margam and Serial No. 27 – Nagapattinam– Madurai Margam). 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.6126 of 2026 2.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that the tender notification in respect of items 23, 25, 26 and 27, as per the tender document dated 31.01.2026, has been postponed, and that a fresh tender notification will be issued for the said items in accordance with law. 3.The said submission is placed on record. 4.In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to issue a fresh tender notification strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act and the Rules framed thereunder. It is further directed that the earnest money deposit (EMD), if any, paid by the petitioner shall be refunded, if not already returned. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
