The present Writ Petition came to be filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
“…to issue a writ or writs more particularly in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the impugned action of the 4th respondent in placing the petitioner out of contract employment temporarily, vide impugned proceedings K1/049/FAs/2026 of Project Director DWMA Tirupati District dated 09.02.2026 as illegal, arbitrary, high handed, violation of principles of natural justice and cannot be justified in the eye of law and consequently direct the respondents to continue the petitioner as Field Assistant in Vallivedu gram panchayat by setting aside the impugned order vide proceedings in keeping the petitioner out of contractual appointment temporarily vide impugned proceedings dated 09.02.2026 with all consequential benefits and to pay pending salaries in the interest of justice and pass such other and further order….”

The present Writ Petition has been filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents in placing the petitioner under temporary suspension from contractual employment vide proceedings dated 09.02.2026, pending enquiry against the petitioner. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner andSri M.R.C. Krishna Murthy, learned Standing Counsel representing Respondent Nos.2 to 4. 4. Learned Standing Counsel furnished the proceedings of the Project Director (Respondent No.4) in Proceedings No.K1/049/2026 dated 28.03.2026, whereby the petitioner was permanently removed from contractual employment and was directed to prefer an appeal before the District Collector (Appellate Authority), MGNREGS, Tirupati, within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the said order. 4 VS,J W.P.No.8138 of 2026

On a perusal of the proceedings furnished by learned Standing Counsel, it appears that, pending the present Writ Petition, the petitioner was already terminated from service vide proceedings dated 28.03.2026. In view of the same, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause survives for adjudication in the present Writ Petition. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings dated 28.03.2026, if so aggrieved. 6. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
