The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking following relief(s): “I.Allow the present Criminal Miscellaneous Petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. II. Quash the First Information Report bearing Crime No. 34/2026 dated 24.01.2026 registered at Police Station Purani Basti, Raipur Commissionerate, District Raipur (Chhattisgarh) for the offences punishable under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 127(4), 296 and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. (ANNEXURE-P-1). III.Quash all consequential proceedings arising out of the aforesaid FIR, including the investigation and any further proceedings arising therefrom. IV.Pass any other order(s), direction(s) or relief(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice.” 3. Learned Senior Advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and respondent No. 2/complainant, both being majors, were in a live-in relationship. Thereafter, certain disputes arose between them, on account of which respondent No. 2 lodged the 3 present FIR against the petitioner. It is submitted that the parties have amicably settled their dispute, and respondent No. 2/complainant has also submitted an application dated 11.03.2026 to the Police Commissioner, Raipur, in this regard. A copy of the said application has been annexed as Annexure P-3. It is further submitted that the petitioner was granted bail, to which respondent No. 2/complainant expressed her 'No Objection'. 4. Mr. Virendra Kashyap, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No. 2/complainant, submits that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled. 5. In view of the above, the parties are directed to appear before the Investigating Officer, who shall verify the compromise between the parties and submit a police report under Section 173(2) of the CrPC (Now Section 193(3) of the BNSS) before the Magistrate concerned within a period of two weeks. 6.
