The complainant has filed a present complaint alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 19.06.2024 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.15071/2024 (GM-FOR) as modified by the order dated 29.01.2025. The learned Single Judge had directed the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:31547-DB CCC No. 672 of 2025 Karnataka to conduct an enquiry after notifying the petitioner as well as respondent Nos.4 and 5 in the writ petition. Although, enquiry has been conducted, the learned counsel for the complainant pointed out that the same was not conducted by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, but by another authority, who lacks jurisdiction. 2. In the aforesaid circumstances, the learned Additional Government Advocate, who was appearing on 23.01.2026, made a statement that a fresh inquiry would be conducted by the concerned authority, as directed and compliance would be reported. 3. Today, She has handed over the copy of the proceedings held on 10.06.2026, under the Chairmanship of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. The petitioner was not present on the said date, and hence the proceedings have been adjourned to 29.06.2026. Considering that the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests has commenced proceedings, we would not consider it apposite to continue the proceedings at this stage.
