Ms. Suchita Kaintura, learned counsel, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 2. Petitioner has retired as Washer Boy from the respondent-Corporation on 31.03.2026. The amount of gratuity and leave encashment payable to him is reflected in the gratuity sanction order and leave encashment sanction order dated 08.07.2026, appended alongwith the present petition as Annexures P-3 and P-4, respectively. 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent-Corporation does not intend to file any response to the present petition. 4. Accordingly, the present petition is allowed. 50% of the amount of gratuity and leave encashment be released to the petitioner within two weeks from today alongwith statutory interest accrued thereupon. The remaining amount alongwith statutory interest be paid to the petitioner within two months thereafter. Insofar as the arrears of salary + D.A. from 01.01.2016 to 30.09.2022 on account of the revision of pay scales w.e.f. 01.01.2016 are concerned, the admissible benefits alongwith statutory interest thereupon be paid to the petitioner in accordance with law within six months from today. It is made clear that if the aforesaid amount is not paid within such period, the same shall carry interest @ 9% per annum from the due date till the date of actual payment.
