The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Mango (Olidih)/Olidih P.S. Case No. 75 of 2026 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 118(2), 109(1), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 27 of the Arms Act. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner along with the co-accused persons attempted to murder Vikram Singh- the informant by firing upon him. It is further alleged that two bullets hit on the left hand of the Vikram Singh while one bullet hit on right his hand and one bullet grazed near his ear. It is next submitted that the allegation against the petitioner is false. It is then submitted that apart from this case, the petitioner is involved in two other cases as mentioned in para-12 of this bail application. It is further submitted that the petitioner has been in custody since 06.05.2026 as mentioned in para-13 of the instant bail application. It is lastly submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to co-operate with the trial of the case. Though, charge-sheet has been submitted but none of the witnesses have been examined. Hence, it is submitted that the petitioner be released on bail. Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as the learned counsel for the informant on the other hand oppose the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that keeping in view of the serious nature of allegation against the petitioner of attempting murder of Vikram Singh along with the co-accused persons; and there is every chance of the petitioner absconding and tampering with the evidence, if released on bail. Hence, it is submitted that the petitioner ought not to be released on bail. Considering the serious nature of allegation against the petitioner as well as the criminal antecedents of the petitioner and the chance of his absconding and tampering with the evidence, if released on bail, this Court is not inclined to admit the above-named petitioner on bail.
