Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is enjoying the parity with the another accused who was granted interim bail and, subsequently, bail was confirmed. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits that two more witnesses are left to be examined by the prosecution. Having considered the advanced stage of the case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected. However, having regard to the period of detention of the present petitioner and the time period which has already
2 been consumed, another three months’ time is granted to complete the prosecution witnesses. Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 549 of 2026 is dismissed.
