Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the present writ petition, the Annual Confidential Report (ACR) for the year 2024 has been communicated to the petitioner yesterday. He, therefore, submits that the present writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the respondents to place the said ACR before the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (PSC) for consideration by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), which is scheduled to be held on 06.07.2026 for promotion to the post of Deputy Director (Veterinary). 2. Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that the ACR for the year 2024 having now been communicated to the petitioner shall form part of his service record and the same shall be placed before the Departmental Promotion Committee while considering the petitioner's candidature for promotion to the post of Deputy Director (Veterinary). 3. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned State counsel, no further adjudication survives in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that the petitioner's ACR for the year 2024, which has been communicated to him, is included in his service record and placed before the Departmental Promotion Committee for consideration of his candidature for 3 promotion to the post of Deputy Director (Veterinary), if not already done. 4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim for promotion, and the same shall be considered strictly in accordance with law and the applicable rules.
