ORDER Registry to accept the V.P. of learned advocate Mr. Kirtidev Dave for respondent No. 2.
1. Heard learned advocate Mr. Saubhagya Dubey for the petitioner, learned advocate Mr. Premal Joshi for respondent No. 1 – Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited, and learned advocate Mr. Kirtidev Dave for respondent No. 2.
2. By way of the present petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to respondent No. 1 to provide/restore the electricity connection in respect of the petitioner's property.
3. Learned advocate Mr. Premal Joshi, appearing for
C/SCA/8812/2026 ORDER DATED: 31/07/2026 respondent No. 1 Company, submits that the electricity connection could not be provided to the petitioner as the petitioner was not willing to pay the security deposit and other charges required for transfer of the electricity connection in the petitioner's name.
4. Today, learned advocate Mr. Dubey, upon instructions, states that the petitioner is now ready and willing to pay the requisite security deposit and all other applicable charges to respondent No. 1 Company for transfer of the electricity connection in the petitioner's name.
5. In view thereof, learned advocate Mr. Premal Joshi, upon instructions received from Mr. S. K. Khunt, Executive Engineer, PGVCL, Gandhidham, who is present before the Court and identified by learned advocate Mr. Joshi, states that as and when the petitioner submits a fresh application for transfer of the electricity connection in his name and pays the requisite security deposit and other applicable charges, respondent No. 1 shall process the application and transfer the electricity connection in the petitioner's name as expeditiously as possible.

6. In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned advocate Mr. Premal Joshi upon instructions, learned advocate Mr. Dubey, upon instructions, does not press the present petition at this stage, with liberty to file a fresh petition, if any difficulty arises. Permission as prayed for is granted. Accordingly, the present petition stands disposed of as not pressed. It is clarified that this Court has not entered into the merits of the matter.
