The writ petitioners are before this Court praying for directions to issue to the respondent No. 2 to dispose of an application dated 09-03-2026, annexed as Annexure-XIII (page 61 of the writ petition). 2. Mr. A.G.Momin, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners had lodged a complaint before the Sub-Registrar, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin, wherein they have alleged that a Deed of Declaration dated 10-03-2021, had been registered on the basis of fraudulent papers. The matter, he submits, was then taken up by the Sub-Registrar wherein both the parties have since been examined, but however, since 2026:MLHC:420 3 December, 2025, there has been no further proceedings in the matter. At this stage, he prays only for directions to issue for expediting the case of the petitioners. 3. Ms. N.G.Shylla, learned Sr. GA for the respondents submits that as the prayer of the writ petitioners is limited only for direction to dispose of the said application, the matter can be disposed of at this stage itself. 4. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and on consideration of the materials as placed, it is noted that the only grievance is with the non- disposal of the application dated 09-03-2026 before the Sub-Registrar. 5. Accordingly, in view of this limited prayer, the matter is disposed of with directions that the respondent No. 2 take up the matter for consideration and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four weeks from the date of this order. 6.
