Alleging illegal construction and the failure on the part of the municipal authority to conclude the demolition proceedings already initiated by them in Demolition Case No.015-D/Br-XIII/25-26, the instant writ petition has been filed. 2. The municipal authority has filed a report dated 21st May, 2026 in Court today and would submit that the hearing is under progress before the Special Officer (Building). No final order has been passed. 3. Let a copy of the report filed in Court today be taken on record. 4. Having heard learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and noting that the municipal authority is in the process of taking a final decision in the demolition case as regards the illegal construction at premises No.130/1, B.L. 2 Saha Road, Br.-XIII, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the municipal authority to conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible but not later than eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6.
