Sri.Laxminarayan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner invited the attention of the Court to the impugned order dated 08.05.2026 (Annexure-N) passed by the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal (for short, KAT) and submitted that, the KAT on erroneous assumption of law - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:30542 WP No. 17654 of 2026 and without considering the bar on part of the Joint Director of Land Records - Respondent No.2 to entertain the revision petition under Section 56 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 passed an order, which requires to be interfered with in this writ petition. 3. Per contra, learned counsel appearing for Respondent No.5, contended that the Joint Director of Land Records - Respondent No.2 has remitted the matter to Respondent No.4 to consider the aspects as to the phodi and durasth in respect of the land in question and sought for dismissal of the writ petition. 4. The learned HCGP has also submitted that since the order passed by Respondent No.2 is only an order of remand and therefore, no interference is called for, in this writ petition. 5. In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on careful consideration of the operative portion of the order passed - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:30542 WP No. 17654 of 2026 by Respondent No.2 at Annexure-M would indicate that, the matter is remitted to Respondent No.4 for considering the phodi and durasth, in respect of the land bearing Survey No.167 of Hulugondanahalli Village, Harohalli Hobli, Harohalli Taluk, Ramanagara District. In that view of the matter, since the matter is remitted to Respondent No.4, I am of the view that no interference is called for. Respondent No.4 is directed to complete the entire proceedings as observed by Respondent No.2 in the order dated 11.06.2025 (Annexure-M) within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
