---------- 02/ 20.08.2026 By way of the present writ application the petitioners pray for following reliefs: i) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order or Direction directing the Respondents to consider the case of the Petitioners for promotion to the post of Plant Protection Supervisor in accordance with the applicable Rules, the released Vacancy Notification and the Seniority List dated 02.11.2017, within a time-bound period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court;

ii) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order or Direction directing the Respondents to decide and dispose of the pending representations of the Petitioners within a fixed time period.
2. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that instant application may be disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioners to approach concerned respondents, so that their grievances raised in the writ application can be redressed.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that since counter- affidavit has not been filed, if the petitioners so wish, they may approach the concerned authorities for redressal of their grievances.

Having regard to the limited submissions of learned counsel for the parties, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of by directing the petitioners to file fresh representation(s) before the respondent No. 4. The moment the respondent No. 4 will receive any such representation; he shall take decision in accordance with law and applicable rules and regulations within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.
5. It goes without saying that if the decision is taken in favour of the petitioners, necessary consequential order be issued within a further period of four weeks.
6. As a result, the instant writ application stands disposed of.
