1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 24.11.2025, passed in MCRC Nos. 9492/2025, while allowing the bail to the petitioner, namely, Ramnaresh Gupta, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Additional Sessions Judge (FTC), District – Raipur (C.G.), through the Principal District and Sessions Judge, District – Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 06.06.2026 has requested for grant of two month’s time for concluding the trial. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the trial of the present case is at the stage of prosecution evidence, and only one prosecution witness is yet to be examined, for which an arrest warrant has also been issued. Hence, it is likely to take some time for concluding the trial. Therefore, he prays for grant of two month’s time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of two months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
