This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of direction to Respondent No.2 to consider and decide the representation (Annexure AVINASH SHARMA Digitally signed by AVINASH SHARMA Date: 2026.07.01 10:15:43 +0530 2 P/2) of the petitioners which is in the form of objection to the calculation of compensation calculated on account of submergence of petitioners’ land for the construction of Ghatoi Dam. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner No. 1 is the owner of land bearing Khasra No. 24/1, 27, 180/3, 282/8, 282/9 admeasuring area 0.182, 0.197, 0.028, 0.132, 0.104 hectare situated at Village Kabaripali, Tehsil Dabhara, District Sakti. Petitioner No. 2 is the owner of land bearing Khasra No. 905/2 admeasuring area 0.166 hectare situated at Village Kekrabhhat, Tehsil Dabhara, District Sakti and also owner of the land bearing khasra No. 238/4 admeasuring area 0.085 hectare situated at Village Kabaripali, Tehsil Dabhara, District Sakti. Petitioner No. 3 is the owner of land bearing Khasra No. 827/7, 904/1 admeasuring area 0.015, 0.085 hectare situated at village Kekrabhat, Tehsil Dabhara, District Sakti. Petitioner No. 4 is the owner of land bearing Khasra No. 844, 850/1 admeasuring area 0.129, 0.020 hectare situated at Village Kekrabhat, Tehsil Dabhara, District Sakti. He submits respective pieces of land of the petitioners are coming under submergence on account of construction of Ghatoi Dam and after direction passed by this Court, compensation has been calculated by the Land Acquisition Officer and demand letter has also been issued. However, there is some mistake in calculation of compensation and in this regard, representation ( Annexure P/2) has been preferred before the Collector by the petitioners, which still lying pending. He submits 3 that final award has not been passed. He submits that a direction issued to Respondent No.2 to decide the representation of the petitioners in an expeditious manner will serve the purpose of this Writ Petition. 3. Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, Respondent No.2 is directed to consider and decide the representation (Annexure P/2) of the petitioners, in accordance with law after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioners within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order or before passing of award in this matter, whichever is earlier. 4.
