The Petitioner who is the wife of the detenu-Nasir Hyder @ Nasir (CTP.No.14784), is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to consider and grant extension of emergency parole to the petitioner's husband, namely Nasir Hyder @ Nasir (CTP No.14784) in accordance with the provisions of Karnataka Prisons and Correctional Services Manual, 2021, on humanitarian and medical grounds; b) Pass an order or direction in the nature of a writ of mandamus directing Respondent No.2 to release the petitioner's husband Nasir Hyder @ Nasir (CTP No. 14784) on extension of Emergency Parole. c) Grant such other order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit to grant under the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The reason given for release on parole is that the father of the detenu is to undergo a coronary angiogram.
