This MCC has been filed seeking correction of an inadvertent clerical error in the order dated 08.05.2026 passed by this Court in W.P.(S) No. 3991 of 2026. 2. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant had filed the aforesaid writ petition seeking grant of two advance increments on acquiring the Ph.D. degree. It is submitted that, due to an inadvertent typographical error, the name of the applicant’s father was wrongly mentioned in the cause title of the writ petition filed by the applicant as “Francis Minj” instead of “Yacub Minj.” The same error has also crept into the order dated 08.05.2026 passed by this Court. 3 3. It is further submitted that the mistake is purely clerical and apparent from the record. Attention has been drawn to Annexure P/1 appended to the writ petition, wherein the name of the applicant’s father is correctly mentioned as “Yacub Minj.” It is, therefore, prayed that the clerical error be corrected. 4. I have considered the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the applicant and perused the record. 5. On perusal of the record, it is clear that the incorrect mention of the applicant’s father’s name in the order dated 08.05.2026 is the result of an inadvertent typographical error in the original writ petition filed by the applicant herein. Annexure P/1 clearly reflects the correct name as “ Yacub Minj.” Since the error is purely clerical and does not affect the merits of the case or prejudice any party, it deserves to be corrected. 6. Accordingly, the present miscellaneous civil case is allowed. 7. It is directed that in the order dated 08.05.2026 passed in W.P.(S) No. 3991 of 2026, wherever the name of the 4 applicant’s father is mentioned as “ Francis Minj,” the same shall be read and corrected as “ Yacub Minj.”. The remaining contents of the order passed in WPS No. 3991/2026 shall remain unaltered. 8. With the aforesaid correction, the MCC stands allowed. 9.
