Ranjan Sharma, Judge Petitioner-Kamla Devi, has come up before this Court in CWP No.664 of 2016, seeking the following relief:- “17 (i) That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash and set aside the negative character verification given by the police station Nadaun dated 21.11.2014 and respondent No.2 be directed to give a positive verification report on the application of the petitioner for grant of character certificate in view of the provisions of the Panchayati Raj Act so that character certificate can be issued by the officials of the respondent state to the petitioner.” 2.
