Heard Mr.Aman Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Mr.Priyank Rathi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents/State. 2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking following relief(s): “1. This Hon’ble Court may kindly direct the Respondent Authorities for Award of just and reasonable compensation. 2. Any other relief, deem fit in the present facts and circumstances of this case may also be awarded to the petitioner.” 3. At the outset, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents/State submits that the petitioner, who is the wife of the deceased alleged to have died in custody, received compensation of Rs. 4,00,000/- from the State on 20.06.2024 by way of a demand draft in the presence of witnesses. On instructions, he has produced a photocopy of the receipt along with other relevant documents. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no knowledge of the said demand draft. 5. In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed on this ground alone. 3 6. Learned State Counsel is directed to supply a copy of receipt along with other documents to learned counsel for the petitioner during the course of the day.
