1. The petitioners herein pray for bail apprehending arrest in connection with Sahebganj P. S. Case No. 83 of 2026 dated 23.02.2026 under Section 85/89 of BNS, 2023 read with Section 3 /4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 in connection with G. R. Case No. 85 of 2026.
2. The petitioners herein are the mother-in-law and other relatives of the husband of the de facto complainant who
2 has alleged that mental and physical cruelty has been inflicted upon her on demand of dowry. It has been further stated that she was compelled to take some medicines for termination of pregnancy and subsequently she was driven from her matrimonial home.
3. On perusal of the materials in the case diary and the medical papers herein, the petitioners being the relatives of the husband are granted anticipatory bail.
4. The prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is allowed.
5. Accordingly, in the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 5,000/- each with two sureties of Rs.2,500/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to further conditions that the petitioners shall cooperate with the investigation and shall not threaten or intimidate witnesses. The petitioners shall meet the I. O. as and when required till submission of report in final form.
6. CRM (A) 352 of 2026 is, thus, disposed of.
7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
