1. The petitioners herein pray for bail apprehending arrest in connection with Banarhat P. S. Case No. 53 of 2026 dated 02.03.2026 under Section 85/115(2)/109 of BNS, 2023 read with Section 3 /4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961
2 pending before the Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jalpaiguri.
2. The petitioners herein are the married sister-in-law and her husband. The husband of the de facto complainant is now on bail after having been arrested.
3. It appears from the FIR that the injury, as caused as per the injury report at page 38, it appears to have been allegedly caused by the husband of the de facto complainant on being allegedly instigated by his mother.
4. Consideration the nature of allegations, materials on record and the relationship between the petitioners herein with the de facto complainant, the prayer for anticipatory bail is allowed.
5. Accordingly, in the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 5,000/- each with two sureties of Rs.2,500/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to further conditions that the petitioners shall cooperate with the investigation and shall not threaten or intimidate witnesses. The petitioners shall meet the I. O. as and when required till submission of report in final form.
6. CRM (A) 343 of 2026 is, thus, disposed of.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
