It has been brought to the notice of this Court that Gram Panchayat Gunehar, for which the relief has been claimed in the said Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been included in Nagar Panchayat Bir, District Kangra, as per the area specified in the Schedule attached with the notification dated 10.03.2026.
2. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said notification dated 10.03.2026 is the subject matter of challenge in CWP No. 7623 of 2025, titled as Duni Chand Vs. State of 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2 Himachal Pradesh and Others, in which pleadings are yet to be completed.
3. In such circumstances, we are of the considered opinion that the present petition can be disposed of, as no relief can be granted in view of the notification issued on 10.03.2026. However, if the said writ petition is allowed and the notification dated 10.03.2026 is quashed, it will always be open to the petitioner to revive the present petition. Ordered accordingly.
4. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall stand disposed off. (G.S. Sandhawalia)
