ORAL ORDER
1. Petitioners, who are apprehending arrest in Crime No.6 of 2025 registered by Kollegala Rural Police Station, Chamarajanagara District for offences punishable under Sections 288 & 325 of BNS, 2023, Section 9B(1)(b) of Explosive Act, 1884 and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 are before this court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.
3. FIR in Crime No.6 of 2025 was registered by Kollegala Rural Police Station, Chamarajanagara District for the aforesaid offences against unknown persons. Apprehending arrest in the said case petitioners had filed Crl.Misc.No.5178 of 2025 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was rejected on 11.12.2025. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that subsequent to registration of the present FIR in Crime No.6 of 2025, the very same police had registered another FIR in Crime No.14 of 2025 for similar offences against unknown persons and in the said case the petitioners herein have been granted anticipatory bail by the jurisdictional Sessions court.
5. It is not in dispute that allegation found in the present FIR as well as in the FIR in Crime No.14 of 2025 are similar. Petitioners have undertaken to cooperate with the police for the purpose of investigation. The alleged offences are not exclusively punishable with death or life imprisonment. Petitioners are said to be agriculturalist by avocation. Under the circumstances, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioners for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be granted.
6. Accordingly, the following:
ORDER The Criminal Petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioners in the event of

their arrest in Crime No.6 of 2025 registered by Kollegala Rural Police Station, Chamarajanagara District for offences punishable under Sections 288 & 325 of BNS, 2023, Section 9B(1)(b) of Explosive Act, 1884 and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 subject to the following conditions:
1. The petitioners shall appear before the Investigating Officer in the present case within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order on executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) each with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer/jurisdictional Court.
2. The petitioners shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons.
3. The petitioners shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and they shall co-operate

with the Police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon.
4. The petitioners shall not involve in similar offences in future.
