The Writ Petition has been filed for the following relief:
“…to issue an appropriate writ or order more particularly one in nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents especially respondent Nos.5 to 7 in interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the land bearing Plot No.1 admeasuring Ac. 0-30.51 cents in survey No. 453-2A and 453-3 situated at Gotiuru Revenue Village, Dharmavaram Mandal, Sri Sathya Sai District, as illegal, arbitrary and against the principles of natural justice and also without due procedure, and consequently direct the respondents not to interfere in the Civil dispute in respect to the land bearing Plot No. 1 admeasuring Ac.0-30.51 cents in Survey No's 453- 2A and 453-3 situated at Gotiuru Revenue Village, Dharmavaram Mandal, Sri Sathya Sai District…”
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3. Mr. Seshadri Goalla, learned counsel for the Petitioner, submits that Respondent Nos. 5 to 7 are interfering with the Petitioner’s peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property. He further submits that, although a civil suit in O.S. No. 338 of 2022 is pending on the file of the learned Junior Civil Judge, Dharmavaram, between the Petitioner and third parties, the Respondents are interfering with the Petitioner’s peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property. 3

Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, submits that the Writ Petition may be disposed of with appropriate direction. 5. This Court in Gadikoyyala Satyanarayana v. State of A.P., 1 it is observed that the police have no semblance of right or authority to interfere in civil disputes pending between parties before the competent civil court. If any disgruntled litigant approaches the police seeking indulgence in relation to such civil disputes, the police must refrain from interfering and instead advise or relegate the parties to approach the civil court or the Legal Services Authority for an amicable settlement. 5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and upon recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to Respondent Nos. 5 to 7 not to interfere in the civil disputes pending between the Petitioner and third parties with respect to the subject matter of the dispute. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________________ Dr.Y.
