Mr. Hemant Singh Mahra, learned counsel for the complainant. 4. The instant writ petition has been moved by the petitioner Amit Singh S/o Surendra Singh praying for quashing of first information report dated 24.05.2025 bearing FIR No. 0417 of 2025, P.S. Manglaur, District Haridwar wherein the petitioner has been implicated for the offences punishable under Sections 121(1), 132, 221, 351(2) and 352 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 5. The writ petition is supported with the compounding application along with the affidavit of the petitioner and the complainant/respondent no.3 Mr. Nirdosh with this contention that they have amicably settled their disputes and their relations are very cordial and the complainant does not want to pursue with the impugned FIR. Both the petitioner and respondent no.3 are present in Court and identified by their respective counsels. 6. This Court also interacted with the complainant who submits that he does not want to 2026:UHC:1675 pursue with the impugned FIR since both of them belongs to the same village and now their relations are very cordial and therefore the impugned FIR be quashed. 7. On the other side, Mr. Himanshu Sain, the learned Brief Holder submits that the matter is still under investigation and Section 121(1), 132 and 221 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, are non- compoundable, however, since the parties have settled their dispute amicably, therefore, these offences can also be compounded with the leave of the court. 8. After hearing the arguments of learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the averments as made in the compounding application and the fact that both the parties have settled their disputes and their relations are cordial, this Court is of the view that the writ petition as well as the compounding application are liable to be allowed. 9. Accordingly, the writ petition as well as the compounding application are allowed and the impugned FIR dated 24.05.2025 bearing FIR No. 0417 of 2025, P.S.
