For the respondents: Mr. Rajat Choudhary, Assistant Advocate General Jyotsna Rewal Dua, J Petitioner’s grievance is that he is serving as Physical Education Teacher at Government Middle School Thundrara u/c Government Senior Secondary School Malat, Education Block Kupvi, District Shimla, H.P., stated to be a difficult/hard/sub cadre/backward area, for the last 18 years and has not been transferred therefrom to a place of his preference. It is, however, seen from the record that the petitioner has not preferred any representation himself for his transfer from his present place of posting. 2. Confronted with above, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would be preferring a representation within two weeks from today. In case, petitioner 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 prefers a representation seeking his transfer from the present place of posting to the respondents/competent authority, the same shall be decided by the respondents/competent authority, within two weeks thereafter, in accordance with law as well as in terms of the applicable transfer policy. The order so passed shall also be communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
