By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent authorities to transfer him from his present place of posting to any other suitable place, considering the exigencies of the situation and the threat to his life. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is presently working as Headmaster at Government Middle School, Girdharikapa, Block Pandariya, District Kabirdham. He submits that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 15.06.2026 (Annexure P/7) before the Secretary, School Education Department, State of Chhattisgarh, seeking his transfer from the present place of posting to any other place within Durg Division on account of a serious apprehension to his safety. It is submitted that one Jagdish Burman has been repeatedly threatening the petitioner with dire consequences and had even entered the school premises and assaulted him, in respect of which an FIR was registered on 18.06.2022 and criminal proceedings have been initiated against the said person. Learned counsel further submits that earlier the services of the petitioner were attached to Government Middle School, Baijalpur, Block Bodla; however, in view of the prevailing ban on attachment of Government employees, the petitioner has again been directed to 3 work at Girdharikapa. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the competent authority to consider his request for transfer. 3. Learned State counsel submits that if the representation submitted by the petitioner is still pending consideration, the same shall be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with law within a reasonable period. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Considering the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into account the submission made by learned State counsel, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1/Secretary, School Education Department, State of Chhattisgarh, to consider and decide the petitioner's representation dated 15.06.2026 (Annexure P/7) in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 20 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
