The present writ petition is filed seeking to declare the inaction on the part of the respondent Nos. 1 to 3 herein in providing employment to the petitioners herein pursuant to the Displaced Certificates issued by them in the year 2007, as arbitrary and illegal. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondents. 3. During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the issue involved in this writ petition is squarely covered by the common order dated 30.01.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.23204, 23227 of 2011 and 5366 of 2012 and requested to pass a similar order in this writ petition also. The same is not disputed by the learned counsel appearing for the Respondents. The operative portion of the said order, reads as under: “….13. The scheme of offering jobs to land losers in the process of acquisition of land for establishing any industry is a novel Project, which is introduced to ensure that the villagers, who have been eking out their livelihood by cultivating the said lands, are protected, and the families of the land losers do not suffer on account of such acquisition of land. Jobs are offered to such families and the dependents of the said families to ensure that their right to livelihood is not disrupted. The attempt of the petitioners to gain employment by acquiring portions of the lands after the commencement of the land acquisition proceedings was rightly not considered by the respondents, as the motive behind the acquisition of those 4 lands is evidently established. The petitioners do not fall under the category of land losers for being eligible for providing employment by the respondents. It is not in dispute that the petitioners’ land have been acquired and the petitioners have been paid adequate compensation. 14. Accordingly, these writ petitions are dismissed.” 4. In view of the same, for the reasons alike in the aforesaid order, this writ petition is also dismissed, in terms of the common order, dated 30.01.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.23204, 23227 of 2011 and 5366 of 2012. There shall be no order as to costs. 5. Registry is directed to annex a copy of the common order in W.P.Nos.23204, 23227 of 2011 and 5366 of 2012 to this order in the present writ petition. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. ___________________ JUSTICE HARINATH.N Date:19.01.2026 KGM 5 128 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION NO: 12726 of 2013 Dated 19.01.2026 KGM
