Mr. Sikandar Bhushan, learned Deputy Advocate General, accepts service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 2. Petitioner, Class-II employee, is serving as Multi Purpose Animal Attendant with the respondent-Forest Department and is residing in Type-I quarter in Forest Colony, Tutikandi Shimla. Petitioner's grievance is to the eviction notices issued to him by the respondent No. 4-the Range Forest Officer, Wildlife Range Kufri, District Shimla, 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes - 2 - on 14.08.2026 (Annexure P-2), 19.08.2026 (Annexure P-2), and 07.09.2026 ( Annexure P-3). The impugned notices term petitioner's occupation of government quarter as unauthorized and accordingly call upon him to vacate the government premises in his possession. 3. Petitioner's grievance is that his occupation in the aforesaid premises is not unauthorized, and the accommodation in question was allotted to him under a formal certificate number 52/ K dated 23.06.2020 (Annexure P-1) issued by respondent No.4; It is on the strength of such certificate, petitioner continued to occupy the premises in question for last about 6 years without any objection from concerned quarter. Evidently, petitioner's representation/ response furnished to the aforesaid eviction notices has not been appropriately considered by the respondents. 4. In view of above, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.3 - Executive Officer-cum-Deputy Conservator of Forests, Wildlife Division, Shimla to look into the grievance of the petitioner after giving him an opportunity of hearing. The decision be taken within 6 weeks in - 3 - accordance with law. Order so passed be conveyed to the petitioner. Till such time, no coercive action shall be taken against the petitioner on the basis of impugned eviction notices. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
