According to the petitioner, he has rendered requisite qualifying service, which makes him eligible for the grant of pensionary benefits. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had preferred a representation dated 04.01.2026 (Annexure P-4) before respondent No. 4/competent authority, seeking pensionary benefits. However, the said representation has not been considered and decided till date. Learned counsel 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 further submitted that the petitioner would be content if the said respondent/competent authority is directed to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a time-bound manner. Learned Deputy Advocate General has no objection to the said prayer. Looking to the limited grievance of the petitioner, the instant petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 4/competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from today. The order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner. In case the petitioner is held eligible for pensionary benefits, the same be released to him within three weeks thereafter.
