CMP No. 23799 of 2026 By way of present application, prayer has been made on behalf of the applicant-respondent for release of the award amount lying deposited in the Registry of this Court. No reply is intended to be filed on behalf of the non- applicants/petitioners. Since it is not in dispute that award dated 13.05.2022, passed by learned Additional District Judge-II, Shimla (camp at Theog), partly allowing the claim of the landowners and holding them entitled to Rs. 56, 74, 649/- as compensation alongwith interest @ 9% per annum from the date of filing of the petition till realization of the amount, was upheld by this Court vide judgment dated 25.08.2026 passed in CWP No. 1845 of 2023, titled M/s J.P. Power Grid Ltd and another vs. Surender Singh alongwith connected matter and aforesaid judgment passed by this Court has not been challenged, rather has been accepted by the petitioners, same has attained finality and as such, there appears to be no impediment in accepting the prayer made in the application, especially when 50% of the compensation amount has already been released in favour of the applicant/respondent. Consequently, in view of the above, the present application is allowed and Registry is directed to release 50% of the amount alongwith upto-date interest in favour of the applicant/respondent, by remitting the same in his saving bank account, details whereof is given in para-4 of the application, subject to verification by the Accounts branch.
