ORAL ORDER
The petitioners are before the Court seeking the following prayers:
"a) Directing the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class (Traffic Court - V) at Bengaluru, to dispose of Criminal Miscellaneous No.48/2022 within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court, in accordance with law;
b) Pass such other order or direction as this Hon'ble Court deems fit under the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity."
2. The petitioners were before the concerned Court in a proceeding instituted by the wife invoking Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. The issue is not with regard to the merit of the matter. The matter has been pending before the concerned Court since 2022 and four years have passed by. In the light of the statutory mandate of the proceeding to be concluded within six months from the date of its institution, the matter is pending for four years is appalling.
3. In that light, I deem it appropriate to infuse finality into the proceedings with a direction to the concerned Court to

conclude the proceedings within an outer limit of three months from the date of receipt of the copy of the order, if not earlier, in accordance with law.
4. It is needless to observe that the parties to the lis would co-operate to comply with the directions in the subject matter.
5. With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands
disposed.
