ORAL ORDER
In Crl.P.No.7529/2026, the petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer:
"WHEREFORE, the Petitioner most humbly prays that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to quash the Entire Charge sheet in SPL. CC No. 851/2024 arising out of Cr.No.130/2024 registered by the First Respondent (H.A.L. Police Station) for the offences punishable under Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3(1)(w) of SC & The ST (Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989 and sections 498A, 504, 506 and 34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 based on the complaint lodged by the respondent No.2 and the same is pending on the file

of LXX Addl. City Civil and Sessions Judge, At Bengaluru City (CCH- 71)."
2. In Crl.P.No.5857/2024, the petitioners are before this Court seeking the following prayer:
"WHEREFORE, the above named petitioners most humbly pray that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to call for the entire records on the file of the City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru (CCH: 71) of HAL Police Station, Bengaluru in Spl. C.C. No. 851/2024 (Cr. No. 130/2024) and further be pleased to Quash the entire proceedings on the file of the City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru (CCH: 71) of HAL Police Station, Bengaluru in Spl. C.C. No. 851/2024 (Cr. No. 130/2024) for the alleged offence punishable u/s. 498-A, 504, 506 r/w. sec. 34 of IPC and sec. 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3(1)(w) of SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and grant any such other relief/s as this Hon'ble Court deems fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice."

4. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and have filed joint affidavits. In Crl.P.No.7529/2026, the joint affidavit reads as follows:
"We, (1) Abhishek Sridhar Dantala, S/O Shridhar Dantala, Aged About 30 Years, R/At No. 8/802, C Wing, Building No. 4, Dr. Babasaheb, Ambedkar Nagar, Prabhadevi, Dadar, Mumbai City - 400013 today at Bengaluru and (2) Smt. Chetna Ulhas Kamble, W/O Abhishek Shridhar Dantala, D/O Ulhas Mahadeo Kambale, Aged About 28 Years, R/At No.30, Flat No. 301, 3rd Floor, Near Reliance Mart, Maruthi Layout, Kundalahalli, Bengaluru City - 560037 today at Bengaluru. 1. We submit that the First of us is the Petitioner and the Second of us is the Respondent No.2 in the above case and as such we know the facts and circumstances of the above case and hence, we are swearing to this affidavit. 2. We submit that the Petitioner and Respondent No.2 are husband and wife. Respondent No.2 lodged a complaint before HAL Police Station, Bengaluru in Crime No.130/2024 for the offences punishable under Section 498A, 34, 504,506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(1)(w) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, which subsequently came to be registered as Spl C.C No:851/2024 pending on the file of LXX Addl. City Civil and Sessions Judge, At Bengaluru City (CCH-71). 3. We submit that during the pendency of the proceedings, intervention of elders, well-wishers and counselling efforts resulted in amicable settlement of all disputes between us. 4. We submit that we have voluntarily entered into Consent Terms dated 20.02.2026 before the Family Court for Greater Mumbai at Bandra, Mumbai, in M.J. Petition No.2738/2024 and have resolved all disputes,

claims and counter claims arising our matrimonial relationship. 5. We submit that as per the settlement: a) Both parties have agreed to dissolve their marriage by mutual consent.
b) Both parties have waived all claims towards maintenance, permanent alimony and monetary claims against each other for the past, present and future. c) The Petitioner has agreed to return the Mangalsutra and marriage belonging to Respondent No.2. d) In lieu of the ear ring belonging to Respondent No.2, the Petitioner has agreed to pay sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only). e) The Petitioner has agreed to withdraw all proceedings initiated against Respondent No.2. f) Both parties have agreed not to interfere in each other's lives and not to initiate any further proceedings against each other in respect of the matrimonial disputes. g) Both parties have agreed that neither party shall have any claim over the movable or immovable properties of the other and there are no surviving claims or dues of whatsoever nature against each other. 6. We submit that in view of the above settlement, Respondent No.2 is not desirous of prosecuting the complaint lodged by her against the Petitioner and his family members. Respondent No.2 has no objection whatsoever for quashing the proceedings in Spl C.C No:851/2024 pending on the file of LXX Addl. City Civil and Sessions Judge, At Bengaluru City (CCH-71) arising out of Crime No.130/2024 registered by HAL Police Station, Bengaluru City. 7. We submit that the settlement has been arrived at voluntarily our own free will, without any force, coercion, undue influence or misrepresentation from any quarter. - 8 -

8. We submit that continuation of the criminal proceedings despite settlement would serve no useful purpose and would only result in unnecessary hardship to the parties. No 4, D R Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagar, Mumbai Nagar, Maharashtra – 400013 today at Bengaluru (2) Sridhar, S/O Ramdas Danthala, Aged About 56 Years, R/At No 8/802 G Wing Bldg No 4, D R Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagar, Mumbai Nagar, Maharashtra – 400013 today at Bengaluru (3) Shruthi, D/O Sridhar Danthala, Aged About 23 Years, R/At No 8/802 G Wing Bldg No 4, D R Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagar, Mumbai Nagar, Maharashtra – 400013 today at Bengaluru (4) Sachin, S/O Suresh Chawan, Aged About 40 Years, R/At No 8/802 G Wing Bldg No 4, D R Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagar, Mumbai Nagar, Maharashtra – 400013 today at Bengaluru (5) Smt. Chetna Ulhas Kamble, W/O Abhishek Shridhar Dantala, D/O Ulhas Mahadeo Kambale, Aged About 30 Years, R/At No.30, Flat No.301, 3rd Floor, Near Reliance Mart, Maruthi Layout, Kundalahalli, Bengaluru City – 560037 today at Bengaluru
1. We submit that (1)-(4) of us are the Petitioners and (5) is the Respondent No.2 in the above case and as such we know the facts and circumstances of the above case and hence, we are swearing to this affidavit. - 9 -

5. The parties to the lis are present before the Court and are identified by their respective counsels. 6.
In the light of joint affidavits quoted supra being filed and offences not being against the State, I deem it appropriate to accept the said joint affidavits and terminate the proceedings against the petitioners in the subject petitions. 7. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:
ORDER
[I] Criminal Petitions are disposed.
[II] In Crl.P.No.7529/2026, proceedings in SPL.CC.No.851/2024 pending before the LXX Addl. City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru City, stands quashed qua the petitioner.
