JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court, seeking the following prayer: "Wherefore it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to Issue a direction to the Hon'ble LXVI Addl. City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru, to conclude the trial and dispose of SC No. 375/2019 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year as per Document No.4 in the interest of Justice." 2. Heard Sri. Mohammed Moin Ulla, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Smt. Rashmi Patel, learned HCGP appearing for the respondent and have perused the materials on record. 3. The petitioner gets embroiled in a crime in Crime No.64/2017 for offences punishable under Sections 170, 171, 347, 397, 386 and 365 of the IPC. The police conduct investigation and file a charge sheet for the offences punishable under Sections 170, 171, 347, 364(A), 388, 397, 120B read - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:29275 CRL.P No. 6612 of 2026 with Section 34 of the IPC. The petitioner has been in custody and successive bail petitions come to be dismissed on the score that the offences alleged against the petitioner is the one punishable under Section 364A of the IPC - punishment for life. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner takes this Court through the order sheet maintained before the concerned Court to contend that the concerned Court must be directed to conclude the trial within a timeframe that this Court would deem fit to fix. 5. In the light of the matter being at the stage of evidence, I deem it appropriate to dispose the subject petition with a direction to the concerned Court to conclude the trial within an outer limit of nine (9) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not earlier, in accordance with law.
