JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioners are before the Court seeking the following prayer: "Wherefore the petitioners humbly prays that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash the entire proceedings in S.C.No.2094/2022 pending on the file of the Court of Hon'ble LXXI Addl.City Civil and Sessions Court CCH 71 at Bangalore for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 460, 448, 427, 354, 323, 324, 326, 504, 506, 143, 144, 147, 148 r/w 149 OF IPC AND SEC.25(1)(B)(b) of Arms Act". 2. Heard Sri.Venkatesh P Dalwai, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Sri.K.nageshwarappa, learned HCGP appearing for the respondent. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would restrict his prayer to a direction to the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:28474 CRL.P No. 8136 of 2026 concerned Court to conclude the proceedings within a time frame that this Court would deem fit. The learned counsel would further submit that five witnesses are yet to be examined and the complainant and the petitioners are now wanting to close the proceedings by way of entering into a settlement. As a matter of fact, the settlement was projected before this Court. In the light of the wound certificate depicting previous injuries, the settlement was not acceded to. It is then, the learned counsel seeks the said direction. 4. In the light of the aforesaid circumstance, the concerned court shall endeavour to conclude the proceedings with an outer limit of three months, if not earlier, from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
