CORAM : SRI ANANDA SEN, J. ------ For the Petitioner(s) : Mrs. Shilpi Sandil Gadodia, Advocate Ms. Nidhi Lall, Advocate Mr. Nillohit Choubey, Advocate For the RMC : Dr. Vandana Singh, Advocate Ms. Aliza, Advocate Mr. Vivek Kumar Sharma, Advocate …...... 02 /17.08.2026: Heard the learned counsel representing the petitioner and the learned counsel representing the respondents. 2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that notice dated 31.07.2026, which is challenged in this writ petition, is against a dead person, that too, without giving any details of the land and the property. 3. After going through the same, I find that the notice was issued to Suresh Kumar Modi and Ramesh Kumar Modi, Jalan Road, Upper Bazar, Ranchi, to vacate their shop / establishment /resident within a period of three days. There is no plot number or details of the area mentioned in the said notice. A M.S. plot is mentioned but the number has been struck off. Thus, the notice is vague and without any description of the land. 2026:JHHC:24592 2 4. Further, from the Annexures of this writ petition, it is clear that both Suresh Kumar Modi and Ramesh Kumar Modi have died, thus, the notice is also against the dead persons. 5. Considering the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to set aside notice contained in Letter No. 530 dated 31.07.2026. 6. The matter is remanded to the Ranchi Municipal Corporation. If they wish, they can take fresh and proper steps. 7. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. (ANANDA SEN, J.) 17.08.2026 Tanuj/CP-2 Uploaded on 19.08.2026
