Matter is taken up for consideration in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioners, State respondents and Election Commission of India. 2. Mr. Das, learned Additional Government Pleader submits that an affidavit-of-compliance affirmed on 6th April, 2026 by the Assistant Commissioner of Police (HQ), Howrah Police Commissionerate may have been filed on behalf of the State respondents at the material point of time but today stand of the State respondents is altered and said affidavit-of- compliance is not relied upon. 3. It is also contended on behalf of the State respondents that if opportunity is granted a different report can be filed in connection with the present writ petition. 4. Court finds that an order was passed on 24th March, 2026 permitting the petitioner to conduct Ram Navami Procession and Procession was convened accordingly on 26th March, 2026. Therefore, the order passed on 24th March, 2026 is complied with. 5. Hence, writ petition stands disposed of. 6. Affidavit filed on behalf of the State respondents on previous occasion is not taken into consideration. 7. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.) 2
