By the instant petition, the petitioner has sought direction upon the court of Additional Sessions Judge, (Special Judge Designated under UAPA), Sopore, hereinafter for short to be referred as trial court, to fix a calendar in the case titled UT of J&K through SHO P/s Tarzoo v. JunaidFarooq Akhoon, proceed at least on weekly basis and conclude the trial expeditiously, within a period of two months from today. 2. The record of the case had been summoned in terms of order dated 05.05.2026. Record stands received by this court. The trial court has also submitted a status report in respect of the case in question. This court does not see any apparent avoidable undue delay having occasioned in the trial that would warrant intervention of this Court, however, a slightest possibility of expediting the trial would not only be favorable to the petitioner but would also serve ends of justice. 3. In view of above and given the innocuousness of the prayer made in the instant petition, it is disposed of with a direction to the trial court to expedite WP (C) No. 970/2026 the trial of the case supra and conclude the same with utmost dispatch preferably within a period of six months from today.
