1. The present writ petition has been filed invoking the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the present petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus to direct respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to issue a fresh passport to the petitioner. The said relief is sought consequent to the carrying out of requisite corrections in the petitioner’s date of birth (recording
[2026:RJ-JP:15723] (2 of 2) [CW-16992/2025] it as 28.06.2004 instead of 26.06.2004) and place of birth, (recording it as Jaipur, Rajasthan instead of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan).

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents has submitted that the petitioner may file an appropriate representation in this regard before the competent authority within a period of seven days from the date of passing of this
order and the same will be adjudicated accordingly.
4. Heard the submissions advanced by learned counsel for the parties.
5. Accordingly, the petitioner is at liberty to file an appropriate representation before respondent Nos. 2 and 3 within a period of seven days from the date of passing of this order.
6. The competent authority of the respondents is directed to afford an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner on 28.04.2026 at 11:00 A.M. and the competent authority shall adjudicate the matter at hand and pass a speaking order, strictly in accordance with the law.
7. In light of the above terms, the present writ petition stands
disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
