Ms. Busra Khatun ….for the petitioner Mr. Dhiraj Kumar Trivedi, DSGI, Mr. Sourav Sengupta ….for the UOI The petitioner claims to have been running small business from a shop room situated over the railway line at Santoshpur 7/B/T adjacent to Santoshpur Railway Station and Santoshpur Railway Bridge. Apprehending that the petitioner shall be evicted without due process of law, the instant writ petition has been filed. The learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appears and submits, on instructions, from the Officer of the Eastern Railway, who is physically present in Court that the eviction programme commenced at Santoshpur Station under the supervision of the responsible Officer and during the operation 170 unauthorised soft shops/stalls were evicted peacefully from Platform Nos.1 and 2 of the said station and the eviction has already been completed. The written instructions filed by the learned Deputy Solicitor General of India along with the photographs are placed on record. In view thereof, this writ petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the same stands disposed of. 2 There will be no order as to costs. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
