VIBHU BAKHRU, CHIEF JUSTICE) 1. The complainant has filed the present complaint alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 24.04.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P. No.7399/2025 [KLR-RR/SUR]. In terms of the said order, the Court inter alia directed the accused to register the name of the complainant in the revenue records as Kathedar. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:30752-DB CCC No. 320 of 2026 2. The complainant is claiming land measuring 2 acres and 19 guntas on the basis of a grant certificate issued in favour of his father. 3. The learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the accused has filed a compliance affidavit, enclosing therewith a letter dated 20.06.2026. It is stated that a survey was conducted and the complainant was found to be in possession of only one acre of land. Out of the said extent, 24 guntas form part of the forest land and therefore, the complainant cannot be recorded as the Kathedar thereof. The remaining 16 guntas, falling in Survey No.50, situated at Shivani Hobli, Cheeranahalli Village, Ajjampura Taluk is proposed to be recorded in the name of the complainant and steps in that regard have already been initiated. 4. It is also pointed out that the learned Single Judge had granted liberty to the Deputy Commissioner to consider the validity of the grant, as permitted by the Court in the earlier writ petition [W.P. No.29469/1982]. 5. The learned Additional Government Advocate submits that, in exercise of the said liberty, proceedings have now been initiated - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:30752-DB CCC No. 320 of 2026 to verify the genuineness and authenticity of the grants made in favour of Sri Shankarachari and ten others in Survey No.50, Cheeranahalli Village, Shivani Hobli, Ajjampura Taluk [formerly Tarikere-Taluk], under the Unauthorised Cultivation [Bagar Hukum] Scheme. 6. In view of the above, we are unable to accept that there is any willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court. 7. Accordingly, the complaint is closed. 8.
