Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: "a) Issue writ of certiorari by quash Annexure- A order dated 29-08-2023 passed by the Respondent No.2 - cancel the Firearm license granted to the petitioner in license No.67/RR/2011 and RR/28/2011 to DBBL and Revolver, by allowing the writ petition. b) Issue writ of certiorari by quash Annexure- B - endorsement issued on 02-09-2023 to the petitioner from Respondent No.2 to sale the Firearm to the vendors of the Arm's or license holder to the firearm's. c) Issue writ of mandamus/direction to the Respondent No.2 to renewal of license of the petitioner in license No.67/RR/2011 and RR/28/2011 to DBBL and Revolver. d) And pass such any other order deems fit under facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice." 2. What has been challenged is the cancellation of the Firearm licence issued to the petitioner on the ground that there were three criminal proceedings pending against the petitioner. 3. The submission now made by the counsel for the petitioner is that, all three proceedings have ended in acquittal. An order cancelling the Firearm licence is one which is appealable under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. 5.
