Accused No.1 in Crime No.50/2026 registered by Kumaraswamy Layout Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Sections 61, 314, 315, 318, 335 and 344 of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.50/2026 was registered by Kumaraswamy Layout Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the aforesaid offences against the petitioner and another after private complaint filed by the partnership firm known as 'Parimal Mandir' was referred to the said police station by the Court of jurisdictional Magistrate. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioner, who is arraigned as accused No.1 in the FIR had approached the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.3618/2026, which was rejected on 27.04.2026. A reading of the private complaint which has resulted in registration of the present FIR, would go to show that dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature. The parties had a transaction between them for a very long period and after certain dispute arose between them, a private complaint has been lodged. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has no other criminal antecedents and he is ready and willing to cooperate with the police for the purpose of investigation. The alleged offences are triable by the Court of Magistrate and the maximum punishment for the said offences in imprisonment for a period of seven years. Under the circumstances, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following order:- 6. The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No.50/2026 registered by Kumaraswamy Layout Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Sections 61, 314, 315, - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:30462 CRL.P No. 7567 of 2026 318, 335 and 344 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: 1. The Petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. 2. Petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3. Petitioner shall not tamper with the prosecution witnesses and he shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. 4.
