[2026:JHHC:24284] IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No.7591 of 2026 ------ Dilshad Ansari @ Dhela @ Dilsad, Aged about 37 Years, S/o Karu Ansari, Resident of Samunder Mohala, Ormanjhi, Irba, P.O. & P.S. Ormanjhi, Dist.- Ranchi, Jharkhand. 835219 Adhar no. 2595 1816 0569 .... .... …. Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand .... .... .... Opposite Party ------ CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR CHOUDHARY ------ For the Petitioner : Mr. Sarvendra Kumar, Advocate For the State : Mrs. Anuradha Sahay, Addl.P.P ------ Order No.02 Dated:-13-08-2026 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ormanjhi P.S. Case No. 222 of 2025 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 117(2), 109, 351(2) & 308(3) of the B.N.S., 2023. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner demanded extortion of Rs.10,000/- and when the informant expressed his inability, the petitioner attempted to murder the informant by giving a knife blow and when the knife slipped from the hand of the petitioner, he assaulted the informant with rod and bamboo. It is next submitted that the allegation against the petitioner is false. It is then submitted that the petitioner has been in custody since 03.06.2026 as mentioned in para-04 of the instant bail application. It is further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to co-operate with the trial of the case. Hence, it is submitted that the petitioner be released on bail. Learned counsel appearing for the State on the other hand opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that the petitioner is a threat to the law and order situation in the locality and he is also involved in another case. It is next submitted that the injury sustained by the victim is grievous in nature and the heinous nature of the offence could be judged from the fact that the petitioner continuously kept on hitting the victim and left the victim only thinking him to be dead, when he became unconscious; hence, there is every chance of the petitioner absconding and tampering with the evidence, if released on bail. It is lastly submitted that the petitioner ought not to be released on bail. Considering the serious nature of allegation against the petitioner, his criminal antecedent as well as the chance of his absconding and tampering with the evidence, if released on bail, this Court is not inclined to admit the above named petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the above named petitioner is rejected at this stage. (Anil Kumar Choudhary, J.) Dated:- 13.08.2026 Saroj/
