NATARAJ ORAL ORDER The petitioner has sought for a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent No.3 to consider his representation dated 29.12.2025 and to pay compensation in respect of acquisition of land in Sy.Nos.283 of Hulikunte Village, Doddabelavangala Hobli, Doddaballapura Taluk measuring 04 acres. 2. (i) The petitioner contend that he is the owner of the aforesaid property, which was acquired by respondent Nos.2 and 3 for the formation of an industrial area in terms of a notification bearing No.s¹L 36 J¸ï¦PÀÆå(E) 2023 dated 20.02.2024 - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26030 WP No. 14101 of 2026 issued under Section 28(4) Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Act, 1966. The petitioner contend that he is entitled to compensation in respect of the acquisition. However, the respondents have not taken any steps to determine and disburse the compensation, which forced the petitioners to submit his representation dated 29.12.2025. (ii) The petitioner contend that even after receipt of representation and lapse of substantial time, the respondents have not taken any steps to determine and disburse the compensation. The petitioner is therefore before this Court seeking for a direction to the respondents to pass an award and pay compensation in accordance with law. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners reiterated the above contentions and submitted that a direction be issued to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners. 4. Learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 submitted that if reasonable time is granted, respondent Nos.2 - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26030 WP No. 14101 of 2026 and 3 will take steps to pass an award and disburse the compensation in accordance with law. 5. In view of the aforesaid submission, this petition is disposed off directing respondent No.3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.12.2025 and pass an appropriate award and pay compensation in accordance with law. 6.
