1. This is a petition, filed by one Ex Lance Naik Rachpal Singh seeking review of the judgment dated 02.04.2025 passed in WP (C) No. 890/2024 titled “Union of India and Others vs. Rachpal Singh”.
2. The review petition is delayed by 389 days and, therefore, instant application has been filed seeking condonation of delay.
3. We have gone through the application and the explanation tendered for filing the belated review petition. We are convinced that the review petitioner has demonstrated sufficient cause which prevented him from filing the review petition within time.
4. The application is, therefore, allowed and the delay of 389 days in filing the review petition is condoned.

1. It is submitted by learned counsel appearing for the review petitioner that this petition raised a different question, i.e., whether service

personnel would be entitled to second pension if there is a shortfall of minimum service required for pension, but the matter was decided on the other issue by relying upon the Pension Regulations of 2008.
2. Mr. Vishal Sharma, learned DSGI does not dispute this factual position.
3. The review petition is, therefore, allowed and the judgment dated 02.04.2025 (supra) is recalled.
4. Let WP (C) No. 890/2024 come up for consideration on 02.09.2026.
