This revisional application has been filed for expeditious disposal of the proceeding being Sessions Trial No. 05 (XII) of 2023 under Section 498A/307/406/34 of IPC pending before learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court at Kalyani, Nadia. 2. It is submitted by the learned advocate that after passage of 8 years the proceeding has not yet been disposed of and the petitioner being the husband is highly prejudiced. Other in-laws have been discharged by the High Court. Request was made to the learned Trial Court to expedite the proceeding. Unfortunately, despite several dates fixed, charge were framed in the year 2023 but till date only one witness has been examined. 3. Heard the submission of the learned Advocate and on careful perusal of the materials on record and the order sheet annexed with the revisional application, it is apparent that the case is of the year 2008 and despite the charge being framed in the year 2023, only one witness has been examined. Matter has been delayed at the instance of the opposite parties. On several occasions adjournment was sought for. 2 4. Considering the facts and circumstances, the learned Trial Court is directed to make all endeavour to dispose of the sessions trial pending before the learned Trial Court as early as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties preferably within a period of one year. 5.
