Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: " i. issue a writ of certiorari or any other writ, order or direction, quashing the impugned notice dated 16.02.2026 bearing No.BDA/PI- 01/SPG/11/2026 issued by the Respondent at Annexure-K and the notice dated 23.02.2026 bearing No.BDA/PI-01/SPG/11/2026 issued by the Respondent at Annexure-M; ii. grant such other order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity." 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent - police was acting at the behest of certain private parties and had issued a notice on 16.02.2026 at Annexure K calling upon the petitioner to furnish documents relating to the property belonging to the petitioner. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:29535 WP No. 8314 of 2026 3. The submission of Sri R Subramanya, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner is that the same having been done at the behest of private parties, was not maintainable. 4. It is in that background, the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court had called upon learned AGA to secure instructions and make submission. Today, the original file relating to the above has been placed on record. 5. A perusal thereof indicates that a complaint having been filed before the Hon'ble Lokayuktha, the Hon’ble Lokayuktha has directed the respondent to carry out necessary enquiry and submit a enquiry report and in furtherance thereof a notice has been issued to the petitioner. Hence, the action taken by the respondent is not at the behest of the private parties, but on the instructions issued by the Hon’ble Lokayuktha, which cannot be found fault with. 6. Learned AGA is directed to furnish copy of the complaint received by Hon'ble Lokayuktha as also the correspondence received by the respondent from the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:29535 WP No. 8314 of 2026 Hon'ble Lokayuktha to the petitioner within a period of 10 days from today. Since the action taken by the respondent is in pursuance of the direction of Hon'ble Lokayuktha, the above petition does not survive for consideration. 7. Reserving liberty to the petitioner to agitate all his rights before the appropriate forum, the petition stands disposed of. The original file is returned back to learned AGA.
