Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioner named above has been made accused in connection with Lapung P.S. Case No. 16 of 2025 for the offence registered under Sections 191(2), 191(3), 190, 126(2), 127(2), 115(2), 118(1), 117(2), 118(2), 121(1), 121(2), 109(1), 132, 324(4), 61(2) and 352 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 27 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Ranchi.
As per the FIR, there was an ongoing land dispute between the heirs and descendants of Gopal Nath Shahdeo and the villagers regarding which a meeting was called by the Officer In-charge to resolve the said dispute. It is said that 50 to 60 male and female, variously armed, came there and by forming an unlawful assembly attacked the police party and also attempted to snatch the firearms. In the unlawful assembly, 56 named and 400 unnamed persons were involved against whom FIR was lodged. The name of the petitioner is one among the named accused persons.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the injury report was earlier called for from which it appears that only two persons have sustained injuries which are simple in nature. Other similarly situated co- accused have been granted bail by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court.
Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Court below.
